Pricing and terms
WebAPI billing is pay-as-you-go: your cost tracks your real usage, not a guess. You pay only for what you actually consume — nothing up front, no idle prepaid capacity — and the per-unit price decreases as your volume grows. There are no rigid minimum or maximum limits.

The model
- Sandbox — free. The Sandbox is the staging environment: a full-featured copy of production with no billing and no SLA. You build, test and debug on the Sandbox for free, and only pay once you connect to production.
- Production — pay-as-you-go, usage-based pricing on a regressive scale (the more you use, the cheaper each unit). Calls and realtime events are metered separately. Billing starts only on production.
The Sandbox and production are separate environments. Build on the staging endpoints — pre.toolbox.cplugin.com (Toolbox) and pre.mywebapi.com (WebAPI) — free of charge; production lives at toolbox.cplugin.com (Toolbox) and cloud.mywebapi.com (WebAPI cloud API), where billing applies.
Why pay-as-you-go
- You pay only for what you consumed. Nothing is charged up front, and you never carry idle prepaid capacity you are not using. Your cost tracks your real usage, not a forecast you had to commit to in advance.
- The per-unit price decreases as volume grows. WebAPI uses a regressive scale: more usage means a lower price per unit, so scaling up does not punish you proportionally.
- Calls and realtime events are metered separately. You see each stream of usage on its own, so you always know what is driving your bill.
- Toolbox is billed by the hour for the resources you have connected. You pay for the time actually used and can turn things off when you don't need them — pay-as-you-go for infrastructure, rather than one large fixed subscription.
Toolbox shows a forward cost estimate: from your current usage numbers it projects the bill you should expect. You can see your expected future cost before it is charged — no surprises.
Your exact pricing
You see your current tariff and live usage right after you sign in to Toolbox — exact rates are shown there, with no hidden terms. Start on the Sandbox for free; billing applies only once you connect to production.
