MT4 and MT5 server plugin that skips swap charges until a position has stayed open for a configured number of days, with group and symbol masks and an optional manager account for the swaps charged after the delay.

Delayed Swaps is a plugin for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 trade servers. It postpones swap charges: a position pays no swap until it has been open for the number of days you set. After that day the server charges swaps as usual. Optionally, every swap charged after the delay produces a balance operation on a manager account you choose — for example, an account that collects the swaps your clients pay.

What it does

  • Delays swaps. At each rollover the plugin tells the server not to charge the swap while the position is younger than the configured number of days. Once it is old enough, the swap is charged by the standard server calculation, unchanged.
  • Filters by group and symbol masks, for example !demo*,*live* for groups.
  • Posts the charged swaps on a manager account (optional). Each swap the server charges after the delay can produce one balance operation on that account, in the direction you choose for each side.

What it does not do

  • It does not change positions, orders or history, and it never changes a client's balance itself — only the server charges or does not charge the swap.
  • A delayed swap is never charged later. There is no catch-up when the delay ends.
  • It does not decide swap amounts, including the triple-swap rollover — that stays the server's own calculation; the plugin only says "charge" or "do not charge".
  • It does not convert currencies: if the manager account is in another currency than the client's, no operation is posted for that swap (the client's swap is still charged as usual).
  • It does not collect user data; see What the plugin sends below for the only data that leaves your server.

Licensing

To work, the plugin needs a licence for using it on your trading server. It is not a MetaTrader licence — your agreement with MetaQuotes is not affected. The licence is delivered and renewed automatically by the CPlugin update service, or installed by hand, and can be limited to certain account groups or group owners.

Free trial

You do not need to register or to ask for anything. On its first start the plugin contacts the CPlugin update service (update.cplugin.com, TCP 443) and receives a trial licence automatically.

  • 14 days of the full plugin, no limit on the number of positions or swaps delayed. The period is counted from the first trial issued for your server (the owner name and the server name of your trading platform licence).
  • Reinstalling the plugin, deleting its files or creating a new installation on the same server does not restart the trial.
  • One extension of 14 more days, on your request to CPlugin support (a self-service button in your Toolbox account, Billing → Licenses, is being prepared). Further extensions are possible only by CPlugin.
  • The trial licence is valid for 48 hours at a time and is renewed at every contact with the update service, so a server that cannot reach the update service cannot run a trial. A paid licence works without that contact until its end date.
When a trial or a licence ends, nothing breaks. Without a valid licence for an account's group the plugin does not intervene: swaps are charged by the server exactly as if the plugin were not installed.

What the plugin sends

In one sentence: the plugin tells our licence service which copy of the plugin runs on which trading server, so that your licence can be matched to that server — nothing else. We never collect user data.

The plugin writes a line to the server journal at every start saying what it sends to the update service. The full list — and what is never sent — is on the telemetry page.
